Yes — eucalyptus essential oil is often used this way. While the scent won't be as strong as a dedicated shower steamer, the eucalyptus and spearmint blend does release an invigorating aroma as the bar warms in a hot shower.

Rosemary is traditionally associated with supporting circulation and scalp health, which is part of why it's included here alongside eucalyptus and spearmint rather than a purely floral blend.

Cambrian blue clay is a mineral-rich clay traditionally used for its gentle clarifying properties, and it's also what gives this bar its natural blue-gray color — no synthetic dye involved.

Like all true soap, yes — sodium hydroxide is required to convert oils into soap through saponification, but none remains in the cured bar. It's a standard, necessary part of real soapmaking, not an ingredient you'll be exposed to in the finished product.

With normal daily use, a bar typically lasts 4–6 weeks, longer if kept on a draining soap dish between uses.
