why we love it

This shampoo bar feels like the happy medium for your hair. It lathers up creamy and rinses away easily, leaving hair feeling soft, light, and balanced, never stripped or weighed down. Cambrian blue clay and arrowroot powder bring a gentle cleanse and an airy, lightweight feel, while sweet almond oil and panthenol (provitamin B5) keep hair feeling smooth and manageable. Bright lemon and lemongrass essential oils make every wash feel fresh and uplifting.

frequently asked questions

Are shampoo bars good for oily scalps?

Yes — and they're often better than liquid shampoo for oily hair. Conventional shampoos strip the scalp with sulfates, which triggers your sebaceous glands to overproduce oil to compensate. Balance shampoo bar cleanses without stripping, which signals to your scalp that it doesn't need to overcompensate — leading to less oil production over time, not more.

Can I use a natural shampoo bar on fine or thin hair?

Absolutely. Fine hair is especially sensitive to the heavy silicones and synthetic conditioning agents found in most liquid shampoos — they weigh hair down and create buildup over time. Balance shampoo bar is free from both, leaving fine hair feeling lighter, fuller, and cleaner without residue.

Are natural shampoo bars better for a sensitive or irritated scalp?

Yes. Most scalp irritation traces back to synthetic fragrances, sulfates, or preservatives in conventional shampoos. Balance shampoo bar is formulated without those irritants — making it a gentler daily option for scalps that are dry, flaky, reactive, or prone to sensitivity.

How are shampoo bars different from regular shampoo?

Most liquid shampoos are 70–80% water, with sulfates and synthetic preservatives making up the rest. The Balance Shampoo Bar skips the water and the fillers entirely — what's left is a concentrated, active formula that cleanses, balances, and nourishes with every wash. Less waste, more of what your hair actually needs.

I chose this shampoo bar because it is for an oily scalp. I usually wash my hair every other day. I used the bar yesterday and am satisfied with my second day hair. It is not too oily, feels soft, and brushes out well. I do use a conditioner bar, then follow up with leave-in conditioner for my long, dry ends. The bar is generously sized and smells awesome.

I have never used shampoo bars before because I just never thought it would work with my thick long hair but after one use of this bar, I was hooked. After the first time I tried it I could feel the absence of chemicals and my hair felt so light and clean.
It’s been about 3 weeks since I started using it (I wash my hair everyday, I know people say you shouldn’t) and there is still about 60% of the bar left. But I placed another order already so I don’t run out!
